Description

Included:

The Ruger LCP II (Lightweight Compact Pistol II) is a compact, semi-automatic handgun chambered in .380 ACP. Released in 2016 as a significant upgrade to the original LCP, it addresses the most common user feedback regarding its predecessor. While keeping the same ultra-compact footprint, the LCP II introduces a short, crisp trigger, improved sights, and a last-round slide hold-open, transforming the platform into a much more shootable and user-friendly defensive tool.

Key Features

Improved Trigger System: The most notable upgrade is the "Secure Action" fire control system. Unlike the long double-action pull of the original LCP, the LCP II features a pre-cocked hammer system that delivers a short, crisp, single-action feel with a positive reset.

Last-Round Hold Open: The slide automatically locks back and stays open after the last round in the magazine is fired. This allows for immediate visual verification that the gun is empty and facilitates faster reloads-a feature rarely found on micro-compact .380s.

Enhanced Sights: While still machined integrally into the slide for durability, the sights are significantly larger and taller than the original model. They feature horizontal serrations to reduce glare and offer a much clearer sight picture.

Trigger Safety: Features a bladed trigger safety mechanism (similar to Glock pistols) that prevents the firearm from discharging unless the trigger is deliberately pulled efficiently.

Grip Texture: The frame features a more aggressive, varied texture pattern that provides a secure, non-slip grip, helping to manage recoil better than the smooth finish of the original LCP.

Easy-to-Rack Slide: The slide geometry and serrations were redesigned to be easier to manipulate, aiding users with weaker hand strength.

Backup Gun: Widely used by law enforcement as a secondary weapon due to its reliability and negligible weight.

Model Distinction: While the LCP II accepts the 6-round magazines from the original LCP (though they will not activate the last-round hold open), the LCP II magazines are specific to this model to enable that feature. This model is also distinct from the newer LCP MAX, which uses a double-stack magazine.
