Included:
The Bersa Thunder 45 Compact (often marketed as the Thunder 45 Ultra Compact or the updated TPR45C) is a hammer-fired, semi-automatic pistol designed to provide the significant stopping power of the .45 ACP cartridge in a concealable, ergonomic package. Unlike the smaller .380 models, the Thunder 45 utilizes a locked-breech system to manage the higher pressures of its caliber.
Key Design Elements
Locked-Breech System: It features an improved Browning-Petter barrel locking system, which provides smoother feeding and more reliable ejection compared to simple blowback designs.
Fully Ambidextrous: The pistol is notable for being highly accessible for both left- and right-handed shooters, featuring an ambidextrous slide stop, manual safety/decocker, and magazine release.
Construction: It uses a lightweight aluminum alloy frame to keep the weight manageable for daily carry, paired with a high-strength steel slide.
Safety Suite: It includes several safety layers: a slide-mounted decocking lever, an automatic firing pin safety, and Bersa's Integral Locking System (ILS) which uses a key to completely disable the action for secure storage.
Ergonomics: The frame is equipped with anatomically designed polymer grips and a combat-style trigger guard, which is checkered to provide a better surface for the support hand.
Accessory Rail: Modern versions come equipped with a standard MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for the attachment of compact lights or lasers.
